Re-View Number Seven

This photo is unique. Not that there are not others that might be very similar but this one was a moment in time and I was all alone on the shore. We were traveling on the Alcan Highway in the Yukon and stopped along this lake. It is a dying lake because of an earthquake years ago that diverted the river into another area. And it is usually quite windy along here. So we stopped and the walk to the shore was a distance and strewn with rocks and a bit of mud, almost did not go. But the wind had stopped and the view was compelling where we were but I wanted the reflection. So, I carefully picked my way down to the shore. There were no footprints, no people about - one car stopped in the parking area in the 30/40 minutes we were there and then left. I got to the shore set my tipod up and took a shot, than a second and third, made a couple of small adjustments and took two more. By the time I got back to the parking area the wind and picked up the reflection was gone and before we were two miles away dark clouds rolled in and the rain started. So, I hope you enjoy this unique photo, it is one of my favorite images from our trip.

“For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.” 2 Corinthians 3:18,18 NLT
