I like this photo as much for the memory as for the image. This is taken about 3 miles up this valley on Cathedral Mountain in Denali. It was an off the trail adventure, just Cindy and me and our bear spray. It was a stunning view made even more interesting by the fact we were alone in this vast area. If you look really closely, you can see Cindy in the right portion of the photo just below the ridge on the green tundra. She is wearing a red jacket. I am higher on the ridge seeing if this was near the top but it was only another false summit. We choose to start back at this point in the hike and followed a tiny stream back to the Denali Highway and got on the next bus heading back to our campground.
