… for more than half a century there has been only one answer for me. Today we celebrate our 49th Anniversary. The wedding took place at Hood College in Frederick, Maryland on May 8th, 1971, the week before Cindy graduated from the college. She is framed in a mirror that I guess was in the chapel somewhere. The flowers she has were picked by our minister’s wife along the side of the road as they traveled from Pittsburgh to Frederick. Cindy made her wedding dress and her Aunt Timmie made yards of tatting that was incorporated into the dress.
This photo is one of the few we have as we had two volunteer photographers who were glad to shoot a roll of film but not too many came out and several are not in focus. But they bring back great memories so they feel perfect. The enforced lock-in has altered the agenda for today but I do have a celebration planned that must remain undisclosed this morning.
